Why Do We Need a Stillbirth Coalition?
Because there is strength in numbers.
We believe it is time that this “stillbirth epidemic” is recognized and addressed. This crisis has been ignored and minimized in the public and government sector for far too long. Many organizations, stakeholders, health professionals, and parent advocates have launched independent efforts to bring attention to stillbirth. But this fragmented approach to stillbirth is not always the most effective or efficient way to create comprehensive change or to build a unified voice.
ASAP is a coalition developed to bring together those that are passionate about stillbirth. We seek to support the continuation of the work and help raise the stakes and build unity in spirit and progress toward our shared goals of improving stillbirth outcomes. The ASAP website is a resource where we can promote collaboration, provide networking opportunities, and highlight each other's work. By joining together, we can amplify our efforts to result in quicker, more effective, and impactful progress towards making stillbirth a priority.
All are invited to join.
